 4 dam's in one city,is it possible? Has been made possible.coimbatore in tamilnadu,india. Valparai is a town located in the district. valaprai is a beautiful city.40 hairpin curve as you travel west will go.on the way you will find a large dam called aazhiyar. But it belonged not to Valparai. chinnakallar dam, neerar dam, solayar dam, kaadambarai dam. Thes are the 4 dams.The amazing thing about this is that it has 3 dam's the distance between is 20 k.m 

 CHINNAKALLAR DAM: 

This is the smallest of the 4 dams. this dam was built when kamarajar was the cheif minister of tamilnadu. the dam not only meet the water needs of a small number of peoples in tamilnadu and large number of people's in kerala. Also contributes a little part of power generation. it is also a tourist destination.

 

NEERAR DAM:

 The dam is located at a distance of 10 km from valaprai. this dam is a tourist spot.The dam attracts a large number of tourists to the city.

SOLAYAR DAM: 

It is the second largest dam in tamilnadu.It was also built during the kamarajar era. It participates in power generating. As the second largest dam in tamilnadu however it does not attract a large number of tourists.

KAADAMBARAI DAM: 

The dam is on the way to valaprai. If you go on the road that goes to the left after passing the hairpin curves with 20. There is a village called kaadambarai. The dam is named after the village as it located there. Mosts tourists here not allowed. This dam is was only used for power generating.

4 அணைகள் ஒரே நகரில்

4 அணைகள் ஒரே நகரில்  சாத்தியமாக்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறது. இந்தியாவின், தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள கோவை மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது வால்பாறை என்னும் நகரம். வால்பாறை ஒரு அழகான நகரம். பயணம் மேற்க் கொள்ளும் பொழுது 40கொண்டை ஊசி வளைவுகளை கடந்து செல்வீர்கள். செல்லும் வழியில் ஆழியாறு என்னும் பெரிய அணையை காண்பீர்கள். ஆனால் அது வால்பாறையை சேர்ந்தது இல்லை.  சின்னக்கல்லாறு அணை, நீரார் அணை, சோலையாறு அணை, காரமடை அணை இந்த 4 அணைகள் தான். இதில் வியக்க தக்க விஷயம் என்னவென்றால் இதில் 3 அணைகளுக்கு இடையேயான தொலைவு 20 கி.மீ தான்.

 சின்னக்கல்லாறு அணை: 

 இந்த 4 அணைகளில் சிறிய அணை இதுவாகும்.இந்த அணை காமராஜர் தமிழ் நாட்டின் முதல்வராக இருந்த பொழுது கட்டப்பட்டது ஆகும். இந்த அணை தமிழிகத்தில் உள்ள சிறிதளவு மக்களுக்கும், பெரிய அளவில் கேரள மக்களுக்கும் நீர்த்தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்வதோடு மட்டும் இல்லாமல் மின்சார உற்பத்தியிலும் சிறிதளவு பங்களிக்கிறது. மேலும் சுற்றுலா தளமாகவும் விளங்குகிறது ‌

நீரார்அணை: 

 இந்த அணை வால்பாறையில் இருந்து10 கி.மீ தொலைவில் இருக்கிறது. இந்த அணை நீர்த்தேக்கமாகவும் சுற்றுலா தலமாகவும் திகழ்கிறது. இந்த அணைதான் அந்த நகரத்தில் அதிகப் படியான சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளை ஈர்க்கிறது.

சோலையாறு அணை: 

 இது தமிழ்நாட்டின் 2 வது பெரிய அணையாகும்.இதுவும் காமராஜர் காலத்தில் தான் கட்டப்பட்டது. இது மின் உற்பத்தியில் பங்களக்கிறது. தமிழ்நாட்டின் 2 வது பெரிய அணையாக இருப்பினும் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளைப் பெரிய அளவில் ஈர்ப்பது இல்லை.

காடம்பாறை அணை: 

 இந்த அணை வால்பாறை செல்லும் வழியில் உள்ளது. 20 கொண்ட ஊசி வளைவுகளை கடந்த பின்பு இடது பக்கத்தில் செல்லும் சாலையில் சென்றால் காடம்பாறை எனும் கிராமம் இருக்கிறது.இந்த அணை அங்கு அமைந்துள்ளதால் கிராமத்தின் பெயரிலேயே அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இங்கு பெரும்பாலும் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுவது இல்லை. இந்த அணை மின்சார உற்பத்தியில் மட்டும் பங்களிக்கிறது.
